Our next vision night will happen on January 5 2008 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at Connection Point Café at AMC Theater, Mayfair Mall. As it is always the case, we will have a great time of worship, sharing the vision and updating you on Connection Point Church and fellowship over coffee & dessert. We will also enjoy a special presentation done by Acacia Theater. Come to our next vision night in January. It will be a great moment that will cause you to think how God might want to use your life in 2008.

Whenever this time of the year comes around, we have already gone through lots of things, haven’t we? Whenever this time of the year comes around, there might be a number of us who are overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by many things that have caused us to be disappointed and frustrated. Things that have caused to say, “Enough is enough. I cannot take it anymore.” However, whenever this time of the year comes around, we also have experienced good moments. Moments that made us feel excited about life. Moments that have caused us to keep on going. I must say that our last Vision Night on December 2 at Connection Point Café at AMC Theater (Mayfair Mall ) was one of those moments for me. One of those moments that made me very excited about life and ministry. As it is always the case, we invited a number of people yet did not know how many would show up. God really surprised us with over 100 people. Praise Him! We had an awesome worship and a great presentation done by our puppets ministry – Beneath Shining Star. As far as our vision is concerned, some folks from our launch team helped me sharing our vision through an interview format. That was great! Not to mention everyone involved in greeting, multimedia, catering, children’s ministry, etc. Thanks a bunch everyone! Our next vision night is coming up soon in January and my prayer for God to send others to catch the vision.

The Gathering is part of the overall vision of Connection Point Church which is not only to know but to experience Acts 2:42. It is a time of worship, prayer, teaching/training, and going deeper into the vision and tasks of this new church plant.  Vision Night is an evening to broaden our network of believers and share our vision and passion about the ministry to be accomplished through Connection Point Church. It is a great time of praise, worship, and fellowship over coffee and dessert. Vision Night happens once a month in a cafe setting.
 The disciples were told that they should wait until they received the power (Luke 24:49). However, the disciples did not passively wait. On the contrary, they actively waited for the power through prayer. In Acts 1:14, Luke says, “They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers” It is believed that the disciples gathered together in the upper room actively waiting and seeking the power for approximately 10 days. In fact, it is believed that this prayer meeting was a powerful combination of praise, worship, sincere prayer, and supplication for the power promised in Luke 24:49, “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
This is what the Upper Room is about. As a new church, we intentionally get together once a month for a time of praise, worship, sincere prayer, and supplication to the one who is our rock and strength. The one who can empower us to do the ministry He has called us to do in the Milwaukee-Metro Area.
